Following many months of discussions, negotiations and due diligence, the sale of the Deaconess Hospital building and surrounding properties has been finalized. Trinitas Ventures, an Indiana-based developer of student housing for college campuses, has assumed ownership of the property.
The first phase of the project will consist of a 350+ unit structure on the north side of Straight Street, scheduled for completion in August, 2019. Future phases are expected to include a hotel, retail shops, restaurants, and offices.
One of Deaconess’ primary goals was to ensure that the real estate would continue to serve as a valuable asset to the community. Quality housing for University of Cincinnati students and future commercial accommodations will satisfy that intent.
