Deaconess Associations Foundation Partners with Talbert House

$284,000 Grant will fund integrated healthcare services

CINCINNATI—Fueled by a $284,000 grant, Deaconess Associations Foundation and Talbert House are partnering to establish new Deaconess Health Check facilities at Talbert House’s Walnut Hills and Roselawn locations.

The facilities will provide access to quality primary medical and behavioral health services to improve the physical health of adults and families receiving treatment for addiction and mental health issues.

“This generous gift allows us to dramatically improve the lives of our clients – and their families – by providing immediate access to primary healthcare in our outpatient offices,” said Neil Tilow, President/CEO.  “We are grateful to the Deaconess Foundation for partnering with us to improve the overall health and life expectancy for these behavioral health clients.”

“Deaconess Health Check was created to fill a gap in community-based primary care,” said Tony Woods, chairman of Deaconess Associations, Inc. “Providing access to quality healthcare greatly improves a person’s chances of success, especially children who are at risk.  We’ve found a great partner in Talbert House and the work it does for our neighbors in need.”

Talbert House’s first Deaconess Health Check will open in Walnut Hills this May, with the possibility of opening Health Checks at additional agency locations in the future.
